The Morehead-Rowan County YPA is a group of young leaders who engage in philanthropic work to help their community. This group will be hosting their 1st annual Wag Woof Walk 5K. This event allows runners to bring their dogs to participate!
This event is to support the local non-profit dog rescue organization, STAR (Saving the Animals of Rowan). STAR is known for rehoming and saving the lives of countless dogs in the area. They work with the Tri-County Animal Shelter to help educate the public about the importance of spay/neuter, vaccinations, and heartworm/fecal testing for the health of their dogs. This group goes above and beyond to ensure the quality of life for dogs and making sure they end up in the arms of individuals who will show them the love they need.
*There will be water checkpoints on the course for runners & dogs!*
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 dogs of each breed category (large, medium, small)!
Trophies will be given to the top overall runners: female, male, largest team, and age groups (10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, & 60+)! EVERYONE who participates will receive a medal!

*Complete registration by Sunday, May 1st, to receive a t-shirt and dog bandana!*
